Who will be involved in the project?
As this project aims to contribute to a positive societal change on a number of levels and in an area of key importance for the cohesion of any society, integrity of its civic values in particular, as well as strengthen the rule of law, we consider that the project’s final beneficiaries will be the entire societies in the target country – Albania.
Journalists The project will target journalists from national and local outlets who already cover environmental issues in order to provide them with opportunities to learn new skills and gain new contacts and confidence to enable them to cover issues important for reporting in a responsible and engaging manner.
Civil society organisations and activists With envisaged activities, designed to bring together different stakeholders to encourage them to use digital tools to promote positive social and environmental change through cost-effective ad hoc campaign initiatives, this project will seek to compel civil society activists and other members of the public to give their own contribution to environmental protection and teach them how to multiply the effects of their engagement. In the same time, a number of public events within this project will raise the visibility of environmental issues in a more traditional way.
The youth We think it is particularly important to make an effort to influence the attitudes of young people. We anticipate that at least one half of participants of the above mentioned and bellow described activities will be young persons from across the region. The “Media Club” representing the junior journalists promoted by the OSCE Presence in Albania will be a strong partner and a communication bridge with young journalist.
Government officials The project will target departments whose work is directly related to environmental issues, inasmuch as it will scrutinize the work of such departments and seek to involve its officials in public events organized within this project.
